The Broad River basin area runs along the Broad River, near Dutch Square, and along the Harbison State Forest towards Ballentine. It serves customers in portions of St. Andrews and Harbison.
In order to improve public health and safety, an evaluation of the Broad River Pump Station was performed and renovation of all major equipment, piping and valves was recently deemed necessary to improve the station’s reliability. Capacity was increased from 5 to 9 million gallons-per-day. A gas detection system was also installed to monitor toxic and explosive gases often associated with wastewater.
