The West Columbia basin brings together neighbors from the Saluda River banks to the Congaree and across to the banks of the Broad River to include areas such as, Broad River Road, Greystone Boulevard, Riverbanks Zoo, and Congaree Park.
As this area grows along the riverbanks, upgrades to the collection system are essential to monitor wastewater flow and reduce sanitary sewer overflows. In an effort to increase reliability and efficiency throughout the West Columbia basin, evaluations of the Three Rivers and Colonial Life Pump Stations were performed and major improvements have begun.
